Giddy-Up! The Book Fair Has Arrived!

Posted on: November 27th, 2017 by webmaster
Visit the Haynes library this week to see it transformed into a book fair!  All students will visit the book fair with their classes during the week, and will bring home their book “wishlists.” If you cannot attend the book fair in person, you may still purchase books by having your child return the wishlist with payment by 11:00am on Friday, December 1st.  If you would like to volunteer to help when your child visits the fair, sign up on the HOP website.

The teachers, specialists and librarians will also select books (available in bins at the book fair) that they would love to have donated to their classrooms. This is a great teacher gift idea and the students get to fill out a special bookplate that commemorates their lasting donation to their class and school.  Don’t forget to visit us on Movie Night! It’s a great time to purchase gifts for the holidays!

The Book Fair Hours are:

Thank You to the Amazing Haynes Community!

Posted on: November 20th, 2017 by webmaster

We would just like to give the community of Haynes a huge THANK YOU for supporting and attending the 2017 Auction at Wedgewood Pines Country Club this weekend. We are still finalizing the financials, but we raised over $33,000 for HOP!!!!  It was wonderful to come together with other Haynes parents and celebrate the community that makes us who we are. Thank you to our amazing volunteers, donors and parents who attended and made the evening a success. The funds from the auction ensure that HOP will be able to bring all of the scheduled science and cultural arts enrichment programming to school this year.

If you weren’t able to attend the auction, but would still like to support HOP, you can donate directly to HOP by clicking here here .  You can also continue to donate through the Auction website. Also, don’t forget that if you donate directly to HOP, your donation may be eligible for matching by your employer. For more information click here.

Thank you for your support!

Why is the Annual Haynes Auction Important?

Posted on: October 2nd, 2017 by webmaster

Did you know that the auction is the largest fundraiser of the year, and that every student at Haynes benefits from the auction? HOP spends $25,000 each year on cultural and science enrichment programs for all grades including amazing programs like 3rd grade Whale Day, 2nd grade “Lights and Lasers”, Kindergarten “Balls and Ramps”, 4th grade “Electricity Show”, and 5th grade “Kitchen Chemistry”, just to name a few.  HOP also funds artists in residence, all school performances, festivals, all classroom crafts and field day t-shirts.=

Your support for the auction matters, since none of this would be possible without you. To see more, check out the auction website at www.charityauction.bid/haynes2017 and look for your email invitation coming soon!

Fundraising for Haynes at Special Olympics

Posted on: April 10th, 2017 by webmaster

Haynes Elementary School will be participating in the Special Olympics on Friday, April 28th in Framingham.  This is a one-day Track and Field themed event called Special Olympics Unified Sports.  The Unified Sports bring together athletes with intellectual disabilities and athletes without intellectual disabilities to train and compete on the same team.  We are very excited about the event and look forward to supporting our athletes on this special day.

To fundraise for the games, the Haynes Student Leadership group will be selling blue and red bracelets throughout the week of April 10th for $1.

The bracelets will be made of silicon and read, Stand Unified With Haynes. Thank you for your continued support!
