Want to get involved with HOP next year? HOP has several Committee Chair openings that are described below. Please reach out to Dayna Buckley or Nalini Luthra if you would like to Chair/Co-Chair any of these programs or have questions.
Field Day Spring:
Help coordinate end-of-year field day events and parent volunteers.
The METCO liaison aim to help facilitate connections among Boston Haynes students and Sudbury Haynes students and among their families. The liaison collaborates with the Family and Student Engagement Coordinator who works half time at Haynes. You help to organize two Stay n Play events which provide an opportunity for Boston and Sudbury friends to have play dates on a half day Wednesday either at school or at homes. In addition, you help to connect families so that Boston students are able to attend evening events and field trips that involve unusual departures or arrivals. Finally, in some years, liaisons have organized a Haynes METCO family potluck dinner or other event to bring Boston and Sudbury families together to enjoy each other’s company
Be the parent liaison who will help Mrs Kramer with the annual STEAM Carnival
School Improvement Council:
The SIC is comprised of Principal Jefferey LaBroad, two teacher representatives, three parent volunteers and one Community Representative. The SIC works as an advisory board to the principal and it completes the School Improvement Plan. Please contact Dayna Buckley or Nalini Luthra with any questions.
Help art teacher, Mrs. Sahely, in the process of Square1 art projects. Square1 Art turns children artwork into amazing items like thermal mugs, pillow covers, coasters, necklace charms and so much more. Assist in the order gathering and distribution of art. Profit from this fundraiser helps to fund end of the year HOP events like festivals, field day and grade-level crafts.
