Haunted Haynes

Haunted Haynes is HERE!!!!!!!

We are just a few days away from our 2nd Annual Haunted Haynes on Friday, October 18th.  Doors will open at 6 PM and the event finishes at 8 PM. Below is important information for you regarding the evening.

  1. Volunteers!  We are still short several volunteers, particularly in the Dance Party (gym) and Magician room (auditorium) for the first shift of the evening. If you are available from 5:45 to 7PM, please sign up to help ensure a safe and enjoyable evening for everyone.  https://haynespto.org/sheet/haunted-haynes-volunteer-sign-up-sheet-2/
  1. Haunted Haynes consists of several different events throughout the evening. Attached is a listing of locations and timing of the various events, including a “Spook-o-Meter” for the magician show and Spooky Storytime.  New this year is a magician show geared toward our older students from 6:20 to 6:50, and a show geared to the younger kids from 7:15 to 7:45. Be sure to visit the dance party in the gym where House of Dance dancers will be on hand to teach kids the latest dance moves. The hallway outside the gym will have tattoos and face painting.   Also new this year, we have moved the very popular Fortune Tellers area to the music room for more space to add a 3rd fortune teller. Several of our favorite Haynes teachers will be sharing their fortune telling skills with the kids! Lastly, visit Mrs. Kramer in the library for a Spooky Storytime! Check the timing on the attachment to choose a storytime geared to your child’s age.
  1. Creepy Cafe will have pizza, snacks and beverages for sale.  The Creepy Cafe will be CASH ONLY so be sure to make an ATM run before the event.
  1. Costumes are encouraged at Haunted Haynes. When your child is selecting their costume, please note that weapons and accessories that can be used as weapons are not allowed.
  1. Haunted Haynes is not a drop-off event and school rules still apply at this after-hours event.
  1. You will not receive a physical ticket for this event.  If you are receiving this email, you have purchased tickets and simply need to check in with your last name when you arrive to the event.  The check-in volunteers will have a listing of all ticketed families and their number of tickets.
  1. On Thursday, October 17th Haynes Pack 80 and HOP are hosting an annual pumpkin carving event at the Haynes playground from  4 to 5:30. Bring your own pumpkin! Boy Scouts provide templates, carving tools and some prizes. Carved Pumpkins will be used to decorate the school for Haunted Haynes.  Please bring your carved pumpkins home at the end of the event! Any forgotten after Haunted Haynes are left by the front door for pick-up.
