Seeking 6th Grade Co-Chair of Curtis Parent Organization. This is a three year commitment. The volunteer will advance with the grade as they progress through the Curtis Middle School, such that they will serve as the 7th Grade Co-Chair and then as the 8th Grade Co-Chair. The CPO meets monthly and there are up to four general membership meetings. In addition, the co-chair will be required to attend meetings with the superintendent on a rotating basis with the other two co-chairs. Specific responsibilities include (1) organizing a team to run the 6th Grade Social in the Fall/Winter, (2) organize snacks for an end of year celebration and (3) speak at the 6th Grade Back to School Night to let parents know what the CPO does and how they can get involved. If you are interested in joining the Board as the 6th Grade Co-chair, please contact Emily Hayes (email@example.com) for additional information.
